Two of Britain's leading period instrumentalists, Catherine Martin - violin, and Jan Waterfield - chamber organ, perform "Strings and Keys", a programme of music spanning the 17th to the 21st centuries.
Programme includes works by Handel, J S Bach, Isabella Leonarda, Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, H Biber, and Rachel Stott.
Catherine Martin and Jan Waterfield are two of Britain's most talented baroque music specialists. In this OnYourDoorstep event, Catherine and Jan will perform beautiful and haunting duos and solos, in an eclectic mix of music spanning five centuries! The concert, Strings and Keys, is on Saturday 25th September, at 6pm in the Unitarian Chapel, Golders Green.
The chamber organ that Jan will be playing is a reconstruction of a 17th century chest organ by Goetze & Gwynn, which has a bird whistle stop on it!

"Toast to the trombone", a lighthearted romp through the repertoire with Sue Addison - trombone, and Sally Goodworth - piano, featuring Sue's extensive collection of historical and unusual trombones.
Sat 27th November
An evening of jazz with Kansas Smitty's Big Four - Alec Harper, Giacomo Smith, Dave Archer and Ferg Ireland. Smitty's Big Four specialises in what they call "chamber swing" - dynamic, virtuosic pieces played with bulletproof tightness and tender lyricism.
